About Roxanne C. Garner

Roxanne C. Garner has been a licensed North Carolina Attorney since 2010.  She began practicing law in Pennsylvania before relocating to North Carolina.  She continues to hold both her PA and NC law licenses.

Educational background:

  • Bachelor of the Arts (BA) Criminology/Pre-Law from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Indiana, PA – 1994
  • Master of Arts (MA) Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Indiana, PA – 1995
  • Juris Doctor (JD) University of Baltimore School of Law, Baltimore, MD – 1998

Attorney Garner began her career in a large law firm private practice setting, but, when she relocated to North Carolina, she accepted a position as the Senior Attorney for the Cumberland County Child Support Enforcement Agency and served in that role from 2010 until 2020. In the capacity as Senior Attorney, she represented the County of Cumberland by prosecuting child support contempt actions, initiating paternity and child support actions, and requesting modification of ongoing child support orders.

In 2020 Attorney Garner chose to return to private practice and opened The Garner Firm, PLLC.  It was her desire to represent individual clients and focus on their specific legal needs.  At The Garner Firm, PLLC, we value your trust and look forward to assisting and devoting our time to your legal needs.
